Celebrate Demme — ‘Stop Making Sense’

Jonathan Demme, noted producer, director and screenwriter, passed away on April 26th. To celebrate the life of Mr. Demme, art house theaters across the country will screen his ground-breaking 1984 documentary, ‘Stop Making Sense‘.

The town of Lovell, where Jonathan spent many years at the family’s summer residence, will participate in the celebration by screening his film outdoors at the historic Hewn Oaks. Show time is 8:30. Seating is casual so bring your own blankets and chairs as well as any refreshments (and maybe some bug spray).

Special thanks to the Fryeburg Academy Film Workshop, Hewnoaks Art Colony and Palm Pictures Entertainment. For more information visit celebratedemme.com
