A storm heading up the east coast has arrived. It looks like the Lovell area will get about eight inches with the coast getting a bit more. All the school districts have closed and it should be a great base for the snowmobilers and the cross-country skiers. I already went for a two-mile walk with the dogs and on the return my earlier footprints were barely noticeable!

Don’t know how my in-laws made it out of Portland Jetport to Dulles Airport this morning on their first leg of their international trip. Scheduled to depart at 5:30 am, it was delayed by thirty minutes and was one of a very few to make it out. Don’t know the situation at Dulles Airport but I’m sure it is chaotic there as well. Let’s hope their flight is on time.
