Fryeburg Fair

Around here, it doesn’t really matter if you like the Fryeburg Fair or not. It has an impact on everyone. There are a few businesses that shut down for the week because they are working at the Fair. And unless you want to be sitting in a long line of traffic, you need to be familiar with the back roads.

But you don’t mind putting up with all of that because the Fair is very special. Established in 1851, the Fair has grown but remains true to its agricultural roots. Yes, there is a midway and horse racing. But the focus is on the animals, local crafts and the natural resources. And some wonderful food and musical acts! This is a great way for a family to spend a day and evening together.

The fun starts this Sunday, October 3rd with horse racing starting on Tuesday. 1154 Main Street, Fryeburg. 207-935-3268 Visit the Fair on Facebook.
