Some would say that it was the sunny winter day, while others point to the end of the football season but I think the word is out as to the incredible baking and cooking talent that is on display at the Annual Taste of Lovell fundraiser for the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library. More than 90 people came to the King Community Room to socialize, to listen to the wonderful music provided by Brent LaCasce and his daughter Devin, and to taste the wonderful treats.
I don’t know the final numbers yet but I would have to say that this was by far the most successful Taste of Lovell (even if my chocolate cookies didn’t post). A great job done by Board Member Barbara Collins for organizing all of the details and making it look so easy!
Congratulations to our winners: Irene St. Germain’s Fudge Sundae Ice Cream Pie won First Place; Jane Nesbitt’s Coconut Creme Pie won second place; and Dawn Ferguson took third place with her Cheese Cake.
P.S. I’m not sure who provided the homemade mozzarella cheese, pesto sauce and bread but that was a home run!

Glad it went well.
Sounds like some wicked good sweets!
While you are away you will be happy to know that the Maine State Legislature is debating a very important issue–Whether the whoopie pie should be the official state dessert or the official state treat!
